The Yohoo Au Pair China program combines life with a carefully matched Chinese host family, structured Mandarin study and personal support from arrival to completion.

An au pair lives with a Chinese host family as a cultural exchange participant. You share English, interests and everyday routines with the children while learning Mandarin and discovering family life from the inside. The role is based on mutual exchange: you are neither a tourist nor a domestic worker.
Yohoo reviews candidates and host families, arranges interviews and confirms a placement only after both sides understand the schedule, responsibilities and expectations.
A real home

Mandarin study
Course enrollment at a local language school, usually with classes three to five times per week depending on the city and school.
Monthly support
RMB 2,000 pocket money each month, plus insurance and visa preparation guidance.
Travel included
Round-trip international airfare is included for programs lasting three months or longer, according to confirmed arrangements.
Local orientation
Arrival training and practical guidance for mobile service, Alipay, public transport and daily life.
Completion records
A Yohoo program certificate and Mandarin course completion certificate, with recommendation-letter support where appropriate.
Study by day. Share family life after school.
On weekdays, au pairs generally attend Mandarin classes during the day. After the children return from school, the au pair supports English conversation, reading, games and age-appropriate routines until bedtime.
Each participant has 1.5 days of rest per week, usually scheduled between Monday and Friday. Weekends and public holidays are generally part of the family rhythm and may include outings, travel or interactive time with the children. The exact timetable is discussed and confirmed with the host family.
One team from application to completion.
Yohoo completes the candidate review, introduces suitable families and arranges interviews. Before travel, the team supports placement confirmation, preparation documents, visa guidance based on the landing city and study arrangement, and applicable pick-up plans.
After arrival, support continues through move-in, expectation-setting, orientation, Mandarin enrollment, follow-up and emergency assistance. Staff home visits may be arranged where appropriate.

How long is the Yohoo au pair program in China?+
Placements run for 3–12 months. The length is agreed before placement and should fit the participant’s goals, study arrangement and host family match.
Do au pairs pay a program fee?+
No. Yohoo does not charge the au pair a program fee.
Are international flights included?+
Programs of three months or longer include round-trip international airfare, subject to the confirmed placement and travel arrangements.
What support is available in China?+
Yohoo provides arrival training, local-life orientation, ongoing follow-up and emergency support. Practical help can include pick-up, move-in, mobile phone setup, Alipay registration, transport guidance and local police registration where applicable.
